Chiranian/Pomchi Standard
approved 6/18/1998 by the Designer Breed Registry and Pomchi Club of America

Overview:  The Chiranian/Pomchi was created by the crossing of two breeds: Pomeranian and Chihuahua. They are referred
to as a "designer dog". In 1998 a standard was set forth by the Pomchi Club of America.
The personality of the Chiranian/Pomchi is lively and alert. Ready to defend their family with a courageous attitude.
Chiranian's/Pomchi's are loving and intelligent and fearless. Early socialization is recommended. Positive reinforcement is best
as the Chiranian/Pomchi is not a breed that does well with harsh training methods or heavy handed training. Some breeders
recommend a crate for housebreaking, since this method seems to give best results.
A harness when walking outdoors is recommended to prevent trachea damage.
